Research and teaching opportunities for international faculty at PUCRS

Project intends to strengthen internationalization at university

noticia-pucrsPrInt-enThe Project of Institutional Internationalization PUCRS-PrInt is now open to select grantees for different programs for the year 2019. The grants will be awarded to Brazilians to develop work overseas and to international researchers to develop work here. Faculty and students are eligible for these grants. They must be affiliated to the Graduate Programs of PUCRS. International faculty and researchers, when affiliated to international institutions, are also eligible.

The idea is to strengthen the internationalization of the Graduate Programs of PUCRS to increase their quality, thus earning PUCRS the status of a world-class university. The funds will be granted from Capes (Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education) Program No. 41/2017. Click here for the application form. TThere are three types of grants to be awarded to international faculty. They are as follows:

Visiting Professor in Brazil

This Call is intended to increase the number of international faculty – including Brazilians who live overseas – in the Graduate Programs of PUCRS. The initiative to bring these professors and researchers to PUCRS is an effort to expand the network of international collaborators in the University’s Graduate Programs. The call is open for proposals associated with cooperation projects and others associated with the Office of the Vice President.

Young Talent with Experience Abroad

This call is intended for young talented researchers, from Brazil or abroad, who live overseas and who have certified relevant academic and scientific experience at the international level (such as a complete Master’s or PhDs or who have completed research internships at the Master’s or PhD level for at least 12 months) for teaching or research.

Postdoctoral Researcher with Experience Abroad

This Call is intended to bring faculty or researchers, from Brazil or overseas, living either in Brazil or abroad, and who have certified relevant academic and scientific experience at the international level (such as a complete Master’s or PhDs or who have completed research internships at the Master’s or PhD level for at least 12 months) for teaching or research.

To follow are the dates for submission of proposals in 2019:

  • For faculty beginning their work from Apr to Jul 2019 – Ended on Jan 20, 2019.
  • For faculty beginning their work from Aug to Dec 2019 – Apr 08 – 18, 2019.
