In partnership with Fórum da Liberdade 2018, PUCRS’ Business School promoted the opening class Doing Business in China, in late March. It was delivered by Dr Jeffrey Towson, US-born investor and Peking University professor and writer of the best-seller The One Hour China Book. Towson discussed business opportunities with China. “The number of Chinese consumers is growing rapidly. They are making a lot of money and spending it like they never did before. The coming years will see a growth in the number of businesses between Brazil and China. Get ready”, said he.

The class was taught in English, and simultaneous interpretation was provided. The president of Instituto de Estudos Empresariais (IEE), Mr Júlio César Bratz Lamb, and PUCRS’ Business School professor Dr Luis Antônio Janssen served as mediators. Towson is one of the top three business writers influencing China, with more than 2.4 million followers (LinkedIn).
