The exhibit O Grande Caminho Inca (El Qhapaq Ñan) is open to visitors up until Jun 21 at the PUCRS’ Main Library. The President of PUCRS, Br. Evilázio Teixeira, and the Consul General of Peru in São Paulo, Arturo Jarama, in the company of the Secretary of Culture of RS, Victor Hugo Alves da Silva, checked out the exhibit on Jun 2.

The exhibit consists of 80 images epitomizing the geographic, archaeological, human, cultural and aesthetic reality of the Roads, which became a World Heritage Site. The photos show the roads that brought the Pre-Hispanic peoples of the Andes together and enabled commercial and cultural exchanges between hundreds of ethnic groups that formed the Inca Empire: including Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Colombia.

The Library is open from Monday to Friday, from 7:35 AM to 10:50 PM, and on Saturdays, from 7:35 AM to 5:30 PM. The Library is located in Building 16 of the  Main Campus (Av. Ipiranga, 6681 – Porto Alegre). Admission is free.
