On Tuesday (30), students from Luanda, Angola, joined a welcome session at PUCRS, promoted by the Office for International Cooperation (ECI). The group of seven students arrived on Campus to study Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering and Dentistry. The opportunity arose from a partnership between PUCRS, Sonangol – a state-owned oil company in Angola, and the consultancy Siano & Rego, from Rio de Janeiro.

The event at Living 360º was attended by representatives from Siano & Rego, the coordinator of ECI, Dr. Carla Bonan, the coordinator of the Dentistry program, Dr. João Batista Weber, and the Head of the Center for Academic Articulation, Mr. Anderson Terroso, of the Schools of Health Sciences and Life and School of Technology. At the session, the new students learned more about the university, their routine of studie and cultural aspects of Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil.
