Ambassador of Tunisia welcomed by university’s representatives

Diplomat showed interest in connecting PUCRS and Tunisian institutions

PUCRS welcomed the Tunisian Ambassador to Brazil, Mohamed Hedi Soltani, on the morning of Thursday, Sept 19. The visit was also attended by the Honorary Consul General for Tunisia in Porto Alegre, Heinz Huyer and the consular assistant Tomás Huyer, at the Great Hall.

The representatives were welcomed by the Vice President of Undergraduate Studies and Continuing Education, Br. Manuir Mentges, the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr Carla Bonan and the Executive Coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation, Carla Cassol. The diplomat expressed interest in strengthening the ties between PUCRS and Tunisian universities and made himself available to connect institutions with similar interests to the University.

He also had the chance to know a little more about the institution’s structure, as well as the efforts of internationalization that have been made. Bonan made mention to the Institutional Project of Internationalization  (PUCRS-PrInt) and the priority areas for international cooperation.

Visitors were welcomed at the Great Hall and did a tour of the Science and Technology Museum of PUCRS.
