Nóvoa is an enthusiast of the concentration of efforts in innovative and collaborative environments, as the educational work is being oversight and constantly monitored. These efforts draw inspirations from permanent reflections and research in order to improve the legitimacy of the teacher’s practice. “We need to acknowledge the involvement of universities in teacher training as it occurs in other academic areas, unlike the reductionist perspective of a teacher’s work which looks at it merely as missionary and vocational”, adds he.
