In the past week, the Physical Education student, from the School of Health and Life Sciences, Christian Kern participated in the 15th International Forum on “Transforming Mentalities”, promoted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco), in Paris, France.

The student, who is a member of PUCRS’s Research Group for Research on Olympic Studies and one of the Young Olympic Ambassadors for the International Olympic Academy, was invited to the Forum which discussed discriminations and inequalities in society, new recommendations for actions at different levels, in addition to strategies, based on different fields, for a better world.

“It was a special moment being in Unesco, a historic place where important decisions are made for the global society. The discussions were able to place on the same stage different fields that showed the same concern as great international organizations regarding the future of humanity, especially due to the fact that high-impact changes come precisely from these great institutions,” explains Kern.
