Lecture | Role of Histamine in the Brain

Card_PUCRSPrint_Prof Patrizio_1On Sept 13, Dr Patrizio Blandina, from Università degli Studi di Firenze, Italy, will be delivering the lecture Role of Histamine in the Brain. He will be discussing the role of histamine, an endogenous amine that is found in various tissues and performs a multitude of of biological activities, both in the peripheral and central nervous system. At the conference, Blandina will look at the role of histamine in the brain, which promotes wakefulness and orchestrates disparate behaviors and homeostatic functions.

Blandina is a visiting professor under the Institutional Program of Internationalization – PUCRS-PrInt. The session starts at 2 PM, in room 205 of Living 360º (Building 15), and is open to all audiences. No early registration is required. The lecture will be delivered in English. No interpreting will be provided.
