Event to take place from Oct 7 - 9
From Oct 7 – 9, the Graduate Program in Theology of PUCRS will be promoting the II International Congress of Theology, at the auditorium of building 9. The theme Sanctity and public responsibility will advance a theological and pastoral reflection on sanctity in public spaces in contemporary society, guided by the Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et exsultate, a document that was written by Pope Francis.
Specialists in Religious Texts, Church priests, members of the Vatican II council as well as other Latin American pastoral theology specialists will join the event that will discuss sanctity and public responsibility in Christian life. Conferences will be delivered by guests from Germany, Argentina, Chile and Italy.
The opening conference will be held by Cardeal Giovanni Angelo Becciu, an Italian scholar, who has got a PhD in Canon Law from the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. He has been appointed Mayor of the Congregation for the Cause of Saints in 2018. The lecture will be delivered in Spanish.
Registration of papers until June 19. Registration for the general public begins in July.
