Project presentation:
Certified Reference Materials (CRM) are essential to ensure the reliability of laboratory results from the calibration of instrumental measurements and method validation, and serve as reference values for multiple geochemical analyses. Almost all CRMs used in Brazilian laboratories are imported, which in many cases makes analyzes more expensive. Thus, the MATERGEO Project, linked to the GEACRON Project, aims to develop certified reference materials (MRC) from national geological samples, in order to ensure the control of the analytical quality of geochemical and geological results, obtained by petrographic and isotopic techniques advanced. With the creation of national CRMs, the project will make up for the lack of this material in the national market, ensuring the reliability of geochemical data obtained by different analytical techniques.
