Project presentation:
Multidisciplinary study, involving the origin of sediments, depositional systems, dynamics of marine currents, processes of formation and deformation of the sedimentary mass, occurrences of gas hydrates and potential relationship with natural disasters, biological studies contemplating the mapping and understanding of micro and macro-organisms present in sediments, geochemical studies to understand the transformation processes of pore water and gases, cycles of chemical elements such as carbon (and implications for climate change).
