Hydrogen (H2) is considered a key element for decarbonizing the economy, as it can be used as an energy vector and serve as an essential raw material for the production of “green” products. IPR-PUCRS has identified potentialities to develop new Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) actions to address latent issues regarding the successful implementation of the “Global Hydrogen Market.”
In this context, IPR-PUCRS is developing an “Infrastructure Project” to enable the laboratory improvement to promote scientific, technological, and business advancements in Hydrogen Technologies area (H-TECH2). The new infrastructure will boost present and future RD&I projects in the areas of hydrogen, fuels, lubricants, nature-based solution (NBS) and low-carbon technologies developed in partnership with Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda (PPBL).
