Important market actors argued about test methods applicable to air conditioners inverter
Along the last Wednesday, air conditioners manufacturers were present at LABELO for the Forum. The event had a focus on information about the energy consumption of appliances and in the view of manufacturers in relation to the theme.
In total, 10 manufacturers had space to exhibit and generate debate about the specificities of air conditioners using inverter technology.
From the discussion, LABELO going to prepare a test methodology for the product. The event took place from 8:00 till 4:00 pm
Prospect for the future
The Forum is featured in attendance to the edict of Eletrobras nº 19/2018, won by the LABELO. His proposal, a proposal of a suitable study methodology for Brazil for the conditioners of the use of inverter technology should be developed by the Laboratory.
Some countries, like Germany, using test methodologies specific to the product. So, it enable a more adequate assessment of the energy efficiency levels provided by technology. And, with this parameter, LABELO acts for the development of specific test methodology brazilian.
The space for the manufacturers allows them to be identified the fundamental needs that Brazilian scenario presents.
Currently, Brazil does not have a standard regulations for air conditioners using inverter technology.
These devices are included in the same category of air conditioners with other technologies.
The definition does not reflect the actual need, since the inverter technology optimizes energy consumption.
