The Center of Internationalization of Higher Education Brazil-Australia (Ciebraus) is a part of PUCRS’s School of Humanities. It aims to develop structured knowledge on internationalization of education and carry out various cooperation activities in Australia, based on its bilateral model. It strives to prospect and establish collaboration agreements between PUCRS and education institutions, development agencies, technology parks and Australian researchers, contributing to the expansion of the quality training of its alumni and to the increasing global impact of Brazilian research. All of this, in a context of promotion of the regional and sustainable development of where it is located.
With the funding of Coalar, it will work with partner institutions to establish practices of institutional exchange and practice communities with managers, faculty, researchers and staff from Latin American universities in internationalization, specially regarding the curriculum at home (IaH).
Ciebraus, then, seeks to carry out its mission of becoming a reference hub in the internationalization of education in Latin America, and is a part of the IoC Global movement, through its Latin American chapter of IoC Latam, in direct cooperation with Australia’s Curtin University and La Trobe University.
IoC Latam, in partnership with the Center of Internationalization of Education Brazil-Australia, Curtin University and La Trobe University Australia, establishes and fosters a Latin American network and a virtual community of professionals, specialists, and leaders in the field of internationalization of the curriculum at home.
