The School of Medicine of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul is a pioneer in the implementation of specialization programs. Several programs are offered throughout the academic year. These programs provide professionals from different areas with deeper insights into specific areas of expertise, thus equipping them to the demands of the market. We are planning to offer new specialization programs in order to serve the public who wish to specialize in health care studies.
The School also offers Extension Programs in several areas during the scholastic year. Such programs include the Programa de Extensão e Gestão de Atividades de Formação Continuada (Program for Extension and Management of Continued Training Activities) – PEGA, aiming at promoting practicum work in order to strengthen the bonds between the University and professionals who wish to develop projects and other activities at PUCRS’ São Lucas Hospital.
