Introduction

Tiago Ferreto is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Graduation Program in Computer Science at PUCRS, Brazil (2010) with a Sandwich PhD Internship at TU-Berlin, Germany (2007-2008). Professor Ferreto is a member of the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) at PUCRS since 2011, and head of the Research Group in Networking, Infrastructure and Cloud Computing (GRIN). He is currently the head of the High Performance Computing Laboratory (LAD) at PUCRS. He has several publications in prestigious conferences and journals. His research interests are Cloud Computing, Computer Networks, High Performance Computing, IT Infrastructure Management, and Virtualization.
