Introduction

PhD in Criminal Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2015); Master in Criminal Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1999); Bachelor of Legal and Social Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996); Professor of Criminal Law at the School of Law at PUCRS and the Graduate Program in Criminal Sciences (Master and Doctorate) at PUCRS; President and Member of the Permanent Council of the Transdisciplinary Institute for Criminal Studies (! TEC); Interiorization Coordinator and Member of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio Grande do Sul Section (OABRS) Compliance Committee; Criminal lawyer. He has experience in the area of Public Law, with an emphasis on Criminal Law, working mainly on the following themes: general theory of crime; general theory of penal sanction (theories of punishment, application of punishment and criminal execution); anti-laundering and anti-corruption compliance; all under the affirmative criticism of fundamental rights.
