Degree in Physical Education at Instituto Porto Alegre (1987), Specialised in Relational Psychomotricity at Centro Universitário LaSalle (1999), Postgraduated in Olympic Studies at International Olympic Academy - Greece (2005), Master Degree in Human Movement Sciences at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2001), PhD in Education at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2005) and Post-Doctor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2013). He is Full Professor, Coordinator of the Olympic Studies Research Group (GPEO), Member of the Research Ethics Committee of the Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Lecturer and Module Leader of the Master of Olympic Studies of German Sport University Cologne. He is President of the Brazilian Pierre de Coubertin Committee, Vice President of the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee, Board Member of the Latin American Centre for Coubertinian Studies, Member of the Steering Committee of the International Networking of Olympic Studies Centres.
