Introduction

CNPq Research Productivity Grant - Level 1D. I has a degree in Economic from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2003), a Master's degree in Economic Development from the Federal University of Paraná (2006) and a PhD in Economic Development from the Federal University of Paraná (2011). I am currently an Assistant professor in the Postgraduate Program in Development Economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and is leader of the LAES research group whose research is in the area of ​​Economics whose an emphasis on the following themes: Education, Health, Violence and the environment.
