Graduated in Journalism from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (1984), Master in Communication (1997) and PhD in Linguistics and Languages (2001) from the same university. Full Professor at PUCRS, in Communication research and teaching, she is particularly interested in topics related to technologies and connected subjects, from the perspective of consumption and use in the media ecosystem. She also conducts research on radio in the same environment. Currently, she is research coordinator of PUCRS School of Communication, Arts and Design, where she works in the Graduate Program in Communication. She teaches the course Languages and Communication Technologies and leads the CNPq Group Communication, Technology and the Connected Subject.
