Graduate as Water Resources Engineer from Universidad Nacional Del Litoral (1982), Santa Fe, Argentina, Master's at Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1991), Porto Alegre, Brasil, Diplome D'etudes Approfondies from Insitut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (1993) Docteur en Mecanique des fluides et transfers, from Insitut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (1996). Full Professor at Escola Politécnica, Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Research interests: Turbulence, Transition, Stratified Shear Layer, Vortex Shedding, Flow Separation, Particle-laden Gravity Currents, Atmospheric Boundary Layer, Linear Stability Theory, Direct Numerical and Large-Eddy Simulation, Numerical Methods.
