Introduction
Eduardo Martinelli Santayana de Lima (DDS, PUCRS) obtained MSc and PhD degrees at School of Dentistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and conducted research in the Burlington Growth Study, at Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Toronto. He is diiplomate of the Brazilian Board of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (BBO). Eduardo Martinelli Santayana de Lima is full-time professor (orthodontics), Postgraduate Program in Dentistry, at School of Health and Life Sciences of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). His main research interests are craniofacial growth and development, orthodontic treatment, dental materials, and biomechanics of the occlusion.
