Introduction

He holds a Ph.D. in Informatics from Universitá di Pisa - UNIPI (2016) and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul - PUCRS (2016). He did a Post-Doctorate in Computer Science at PUCRS (2021). He is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Technology and in the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) at PUCRS, where he is also a research coordinator at the Parallel Applications Modeling Group - GMAP and a researcher at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory-AI. He was a visiting professor at universities from Germany and Spain. He coordinates and worked on research projects with different companies and government agencies (FAPERGS and CNPq). He serves on technical committees for international and national conference programs. He is associate editor of the Supercomputing (Springer) and IJCA (Taylor & Francis) journals and reviewer for several international journals for Elsevier, IEEE, Springer, PLOS, and Wiley. He has more than 50 scientific articles published in international and national journals and conferences. He has research interest in the following topics: data science; data engineering; big data; data stream; artificial intelligence; programming languages; parallel applications modeling; cloud computing; autonomic and self-adaptive systems; and internet of things.
