Introduction

Graduated in Journalism from PUCRS, with a Master's and Doctorate in Communication from the University of São Paulo (USP), Post-doctorate at the Fernando Pessoa University, in Porto, Portugal. Specialization in Historical, Artistic and Cultural Heritage (360h/a), in Higher Education Methodology, in the Use of History in Journalism, in Grammar, in editing Scientific Journals, among others. He studied Literature (incomplete) at the University of Brasília, and History (incomplete) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). She is currently a professor and researcher at PUCRS and editor of Famecos Magazine, PPGCom at PUCRS. She is interested in research on local and border newspapers; in communication and culture; in press history; in Ethics and Legislation, all from the point of view of the journalistic ethos, theories and techniques.
