Introduction

Anderson José Maraschin holds a degree in Geology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS / 1999) with a Master's Degree in Siliciclastic Sedimentary Petrology (UFRGS / 2003), a PhD (UFRGS / 2008) and a Junior Postdoctoral Degree (UFRGS/2013) in Geochronology applied to Sandstone-Reservoir and Post-doctorate Senior (UENF / 2017) in Siliciclastic Sedimentary Petrology. Since February 2008, he has been working as a research geologist at the Petroleum and Natural Resources Institute (IPR), located on the technological campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). It acts in the petrographic characterization of reservoir rocks and hydrocarbon-generating rocks, through mineralogical analysis and porosity obtained by the integration of analytical techniques of Optical Microscopy, Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, Confocal Fluorescent Microscopy and X-Ray Diffraction.
