PUCRS professor goes on Work Mission in Sapienza University of Rome

PrInt Program opportunity enabled the progress of researches in partnership with the two universities

School of Health and Life Sciences professor Ana Maria Pandolfo Feoli went on a Work Mission Abroad, through PUCRS’s CAPES-PrInt Program. The professor went to Italy, in the Sapienza University of Rome, to solidify the partnership, meet professor Caterina Lombardo’s research group and suggest new projects. The Eating Behavior Research Group (GPCA), coordinated by Ana Maria, relates to professor Caterina in various aspects of its researches’ perspectives, and because of that the opportunity for these work meetings arose.

Work meetings were held with professor Caterina, who coordinates the Laboratory on Clinical Psychophysiology and contact professor for this work mission, with the presence of graduate students. Another activity was the professor’s role in the validation and transcultural adaptation process, eating self-efficacy scale. With this opportunity, the professor could establish actions for a new research project, in which the scale will be applied in Brazil in clinical population, so that a collaborative article may be developed comparing this data in both countries.

During her mission, Ana Maria visited the Gruppo Orientamento Nutrizione Giovani (Nutrition Orientation for young people – GONG) and met with professor and Eating and Weight Disorders magazine Editor-in-chief Lorenzo Donini. According to her, it was a highly productive mission. In addition to strengthening the connection on the ongoing project, new project ideas were developed.

“All these projects that go beyond the internationalization of the group will also provide the qualification of Masters and Doctorate students, because our projection is that these graduate students will be associated with the projects,” she added.
