Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Awards brings biodiversity and environmental conservation researchers to PUCRS

Agreement between University and international agency allows U.S. scholars to come to University

PUCRS has just been awarded the Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Award in Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation. The opportunity is for U.S. scholars with significant publication and teaching record in their areas to develop research with PUCRS faculty.

The grant involves research in biodiversity and environmental conservation using innovative technologies for sustainable development, environmental impact mitigation, carbon sequestration and green energy. This is an opportunity to strengthen collaborative relationships with U.S. scholars and institutions to significantly contribute to the internationalization of the University’s graduate programs.

Applications are open until Sept 15, 2022. Selected applicants will be doing research at PUCRS from 3 to 4 months, either from Jul – Nov, 2023 or Jan – May, 2024. Stays may be split into two visits of two months each.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent and over seven years of professional experience. Applicants are responsible for the own application on the Fulbright website.
