Introduction

Degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Master and Ph.D. in Mining, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. One year of the Ph.D. carried out in French Petroleum Institute IFP-France. Post-Doctorate at Pierre et Marie Curie University - Paris VI. Currently is a Full Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Works in research, mainly in the climate change field, focusing on CO2 capture and transformation. Dean of Faculty of Chemistry-PUCRS from Dec. 2004 - Dec 2017 and currently Dean of School of Technology-PUCRS.
