Introduction

I am an associate professor at Scholl of Humanities. I have a major in Social Sciences, a Master in History (both of them at PUCRS) and a PhD in History at Coimbra University (2007). I have been working during all my career with national identity and the nation building process with special attention to this phenomenon with the influence of the History of Ideas and the Intellectual History. In the last decade I am focusing specially the different projects in politics and the nation building process in the Portuguese Speaking Countries in Africa, particularly to Angola and Mozambique in their struggle for freedom during the 1960's and 1970's as well during theirs Civil Wars after Independence.
