Introduction

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (France) in the areas of Distributed Systems and Modeling of Parallel Applications and a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic School of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), accredited in the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) where he has served as a Master and Doctoral advisor since 2005 and has coordinated the Program from 2013 to 2019. From July 2019, he became the Coordinator of Stricto Sensu Programs of the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies (PROPESQ) of PUCRS. He is Coordinator and Founder of the Parallel Applications Modeling Group (GMAP) at PUCRS. He coordinates and has worked on research projects with different companies and government agencies (FAPERGS, CNPq, CAPES). He has more than 130 scientific articles published in international and national journals and conferences. He has already completed more than 60 orientations among Doctorate, Master, Graduation Course and Scientific Initiation students.
