Introduction

Ph.D. in Contemporary Higher Studies (Political Science, History of Ideas and Comparative International Studies) by the University of Coimbra (Portugal); PhD, Master and Specialist in Criminal Sciences - Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS). Between the years of 2017-2018 he carried out post-doctoral studies at the University of Málaga (UMA/Spain), in the area of "Theory and Philosophy of Law" on "Open Chair in Law and Literature". Between the years of 2018-2019 he carried out post-doctoral studies in Political Philosophy at the Università Degli Studi di Padova/ITA, in "Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Pedagogy and Applied Psychology", financed by "Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Professors and Researchers from Latin American Universities". Besides is Professor of the Graduate Program in Criminal Sciences and of the Graduate Program in Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) along the line "Criminology, Crime and Public Security", leading the Research Group registered in the CNPq "Criminology, Punitive Culture and Philosophical Criticism". Researcher at the Ius Gentium Conimbrigae (IGC) - Human Rights Center of the University of Coimbra, having experience in Criminology, Law, History of Ideas and Political Philosophy, with emphasis on topics such as biopolitics, penal culture, punitive violence, human rights, social control and public safety; criminal law and criminal procedure.
