If you can't come to the Museum, the Museum will come to you.

Science dissemination in exhibitions, fairs, and cultural events more than two million visitors Interactive activities for engaging learning

Adopting this philosophy, the Museum has established the Traveling Museum Program (PROMUSIT). This initiative is in a unique means of disseminating science, which can be included in cultural events, exhibitions and fairs.

This is a program for all ages in which people can learn by interacting with experiments and watching science shows, just like in visits to the Museum exhibition in Porto Alegre.

Transported in a truck specially designed for that purpose, over 70 experiments in the Traveling Museum are arranged in an area of approximately 600m², where visitors can learn science in a fun and enjoyable way.

Once unloaded, the truck is turned into a modern 50-seat auditorium, with air- conditioning and audiovisual equipment, where films are presented using 3D technology. The space can also be used for lectures and presentations of science documentaries.

A team of specialized teachers, facilitators and technicians travels along in this project.

Showcased in more than 140 events since its inception in October 2001, the Traveling Museum has had more than two million visitors.
