Based on PUCRS' institutional principles, the Science and Technology Museum has the mission to generate, preserve and disseminate knowledge through its collections and exhibitions, contributing to the development of science, education and culture.
The role of the Museum as a knowledge dissemination channel is realized through its exhibitions. Designed to arouse curiosity and a taste for sciences, they value the participation of visitors who, by engaging with entertaining and unusual experiments, take a leading role in their own learning.
The MCT-PUCRS also promotes the generation and preservation of knowledge. Its scientific collections include a large selection of fossils, specimens representative of our biodiversity, and pieces from archaeological excavations, which are the object of research of Master's and PhD students from various parts of the world.
