Rock Characterization Laboratory

The IPR Rock Characterization Laboratory (LCR) performs characterization of minerals, sediments and rocks, among other non-geological materials, using various techniques such as X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and micro-Computed Tomography (mCT). The laboratory staff also performs qualitative and quantitative petrographic analyses.

The laboratory is accredited on the basis of ISO/IEC 17025.
