University ranks in the top 3 in the country. Results came out on Sep 26
PUCRS has been elected the best private educational institution of the south of Brazil as per the Times Higher Education (THE) 2019, one of the most important rankings of the world. The University is also the second best private university of Brazil, right behind Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
This year, PUCRS ranks second among all higher education institutions of Brazil in the categories Industry Income and the top private institution of Brazil in the category Citations. The ranking features 1,258 educational institutions from 86 countries. Only 36 universities from Brazil appear in the list. Oxford University, from the UK, is topping the list this year, for the second year in a row, followed by Cambridge University, another British institution.
The ranking uses 13 performance indicators, as it looks at the strengths of each university in relation to all of their main activities: teaching, research, citations, knowledge transfer and international perspectives. Check out the complete list here.
