PUCRS opens its doors to the Provost of Concordia University of Edmonton

Summer courses, double-degrees and Pró-Mata activities discussed by Valerie Henitiuk

Vice President Academic and Provost of Concordia University of Edmonton (Canada), Profa. Valerie HenitiukVice President Academic and Provost of Concordia University of Edmonton (Canada), Prof. Valerie Henitiuk, came to PUCRS on Nov 20 in quest for new collaboration projects between the two universities, including summer courses in the areas of health care, biology and the environment, as well as double degrees in the area of business administration. As a consequence of the ongoing partnership between the two institutions, academic mobility programs are available to their students.

During her visit to PUCRS, Valerie went to the Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc), as she was introduced to the research projects and initiatives in partnership with technology, linguistics and creativity companies and institutions. Additionally, Dr Henitiuk visited the Audiovisual Technology Center of RS (Tecna), its infrastructure and projects in order to discuss future possible partnerships.

Concordia University students are expected to pay the Pró-Mata Center for Research and Conservation of Nature a second visit in 2018 in order to study the region’s biome. Students came for the first time in the beginning of 2017.
