Mediated tours will be held from March 1st to 29th, on the 12th floor of the Central Library
A proposal that combines visual arts, literary creation and academic research. The exhibition Our Strange Body, open to the public from March 1-29, on the 12th floor of PUCRS’ Central Library, is part of the PhD research in Creative Writing by writer Reginaldo Pujol Filho, who investigated the presence of literature in art exhibitions and their narrative potential. All visits are guided, and take place from Monday to Friday, starting at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., departing from the Institute of Culture, on the 7th floor of the Library. To register for a tour, send an email to: [email protected].
Research and Literature
The starting point of the exhibition are texts that allow the public to follow the story of fictional artist João Pedro Rodrigues, and through him, imagine the works of art. These texts are complemented by a visual interpretation developed by the artists Guilherme Dable, Letícia Lopes, and Munir Klamt, who jointly created works specially for this event based on the narratives of the exhibition. This is considered a multidisciplinary work, which enables contact with previously unpublished works, as well as the exercise of imagination and reflection on the points of contact between artistic and literary creations.
