Renate Stapelbroek, from Tilburg University, to present her research findings
Graduate student Renate Stapelbroek, from the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences of Tilburg University, will deliver a lecture entitled Netherlands – Brazil: Forming a culture of translational memory by Dutch transmigrants in Brazil and of Brazil (1948 – 2018) on Wednesday, Jun 27, at 6:30 PM, in Room 305 of Building 8. The lecture, which will be delivered entirely in English, is at no charge and open to the public. Limited availability.
Renate came to Brazil in 2016 and, this year, is back to develop field work in the Dutch colonies of Não-Me-Toque (RS), Arapoti (PR), Carambeí (PR), Castrolanda (RS), Holambra (SP) and Campos de Holambra (SP). The event is sponsored by the Superintendency of the National Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) of Rio Grande do Sul, in partnership with the School of Humanities and the Dutch Association of Não-Me-Toque.
