OraveczThe seventh edition of PUCRS Recitals is bringing a recital with Hungarian pianist György Oravecz in a partnership between PUCRS and the Consulate General of Hungary in São Paulo and the Honorary Consulate of Hungary in Rio Grande do Sul. György performs the works of renowned Hungarian composers Ferenc Liszt and Zoltán Kodály. The event is at no charge and open to the external community.

About György Oravecz

Born in Budapest, in 1963, he began playing the piano at the age of 8. In 1981, he was admitted to the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, being advised by István Lantos and Zoltán Kocsis. In 1986, he was awarded with a scholarship from Cziffra Foundation and, in 1987, became a concert pianist and piano teacher. His concerts have enjoyed enormous popularity in several European countries, including the solo Milan concert, which was a tremendous success. He is very popular in Canada, USA, Asia and has visited Brazil on several occasions.
