Canadian Consul visits University spaces

Canadian Consul Angelica Alvarez was welcomed this Wednesday, February 12, at the Office for International Cooperation. Angelica is responsible for the consular section of the Canadian Consulate General in São Paulo and is in charge of assisting Canadian citizens traveling to or residing in Brazil. She was accompanied by consular representative Soraia Bertacini.

The meeting aimed to articulate connections between the Consulate and the University, especially to support Canadian citizens in mobility at PUCRS. Furthermore, the representative highlighted an interest in strengthening relations with the University, especially through PUCRS-PrInt, a program that has Canada as a partner country.

At the meeting, executive coordinator Carla Cassol presented some of the University’s initiatives, reinforcing PUCRS interest in continuing to cooperate with the North American country. Angelica and Soraia also took a tour of Living 360º, the Main Library and the Culture Square.
