International Performance Assessment Centre for Geologic Storage of CO2, responsible for its activities in South America.







 
01/24/2012 - CEPAC researchers are participating in an ocean survey trip in the Southern Atlantic, near Rio Grande (Brazilian coast). Researchers are aboard the Rig Support vessel, mapping the seabottom with an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). This is the first survey of the region using this type of technology.
 
07/06/2011 - CO2 storage legalized in 12 European countries.

03/04/2011 - CCS researchers from Japan will be visiting CEPAC, from March 17 to 23. The visit is sponsored by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and lead by Prof. Toru Sato, from Tokyo University. The delegates will participate in a workshop with CEPAC researchers. People interested in participate must contact CEPAC (limited vacancies).
